Having started and facilitated a Patient Support Group for people with fertility difficulties, I realised the value of people sharing experiences with someone outside your family and friends; someone you could trust, and who would not judge you. This is where therapy comes in and my training began.
I first completed a Foundation course followed by a Masters/Post Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling at Regents College. I studied different methods of therapy including psychoanalysis, existential and integrative so chose to specialise in person centred therapy. I find it is the therapeutic relationship which is so valuable and, based on trust and respect, things can start to shift as clients find greater clarity and self knowledge.
During my training I worked at Kensington and Chelsea College, along with Regents University and then London Metropolitan University. I now work both in person in a small practice in Kensington as well as helping clients online either on zoom or on the telephone. I believe in flexibility to suit my clients.
